Smart Grid, M2M Forum

Smart electrical networks, capable of satisfying the entire needs of smart Cities of the future. Every home is hungry for energy and this hunger can only be satisfied by efficient electrical systems. That of energy crisis a current theme and could not be cut out of the tradeshow dedicated to the world Machine to Machine.

Machine to Machine (m2m) is the event dedicated to the world of communication between machines and for the eleventh edition it will address two extremely topical issues, the so-called Internet of Things and the necessary smart grid. The event, in its latest edition, saw 600 participants, 30 companies including sponsors and exhibitors, 30 speakers, 33 associations and partners, 36 companies participating in 70 bilateral business matching meetings.

The event will be held on May 3 in Milan. M2M technologies will be put at the service of Smart Grid to achieve maximum energy efficiency and satisfy that growing hunger for homes and entire cities. It will be called Smart Metering and will be the parallel session dedicated to the theme that sees Italy in first place, for the use of Electric meter for both electricity and gas.

Given that Italy, in Europe, was the first to take this step, what better country to get even closer to Smart Grid? Smart Grid means energy efficiency, saving of environmental but also economic resources, Smart Grid it means protection of the territory and does not concern only the producers of electricity but involves every single citizen.

M2M will shed light on solutions dedicated to remote control and remote management of green plants: energy cogeneration and distribution, including that dedicated to charging stations for electric cars.

The Smart Grid are necessary for the construction of increasingly intelligent cities. Examples are the projects for the Smart City of L'Aquila, and all those cities that aim to be technologically interconnected, sustainable, comfortable and tailored to citizens.
